The "Gur" class submarines have the same physical appearance and characteristics as the "Preveze" class submarines.

Since Turkish Navy stopped painting pennant numbers on the hulls of submarines in order to increase their stealth, it has become impossible from outside to identify the 8 submarines of the "Preveze" and "Gur" classes.
