F357 Thetis sailed in the KANUMAS project during the period 1993-2001, A project aimed at making geological surveys along the west coast of Greenland. For this project, the ship was rebuilt and extensive refurbished that started in 1991. This meant that a larger gate would have to be made, this is why the rear part was flattened. At the same time, there was an expansion of the fuel tanks to give her increased endurance and reach. She would stay that way until 2002, returning to normal duties |
