On 25/07/2023, around midnight, the ship underway from Bremerhaven to Singapore was around 27 kilometers north of the Dutch Wadden Sea island of Ameland when a fire broke out on one of the vehicle decks erupted.

A member of the ship's crew died during the evacuation of the ship.
The Dutch Coast Guard rescued the remaining 22 crew members, including 16 injured

In order to prevent the ship from becoming unstable and capsizing or sinking due to fire-fighting water on deck and inside the hull, it was only cooled with fire-fighting water from the outside
In the afternoon of July 30, the transfer of the vessel to a berth 16 km north of the islands of Schiermonnikoog and Ameland started and is being held in place by tugs.
