On 28/10/2013, she collided with the tanker Coral Ivory in the Kiel Canal.

The Siderfly got two holes in its bow and there was a danger of sinking and the vessel was assisted by tugs and pushed into the embankment to prevent sinking in the canal.
The Coral Ivory suffered light damages, but could continue on its own power
Of the 29 crew members on board of the vessel, none was injured.

she was stabilized and towed to Greena (Denmark) to be scrapped
