On 02/09/14 detained 13nm north of Isla Alborán (half way between Melilla and Motril) under suspicion of drug running; although nothing found, taken to Cartagena for examination
On 04/09/14 arrived Escombreras, Cartagena; 10 bales, totalling 500kg cocaine were found hidden in the chain locker; each was wrapped in a buoyant jacket with reflective tape and were wet, indicating that they were anchored by another ship until collection by the intercepted vessel
