Giorgio Cini is a school ship , built in Venice at the "Lucchese" shipyards and launched on 11 February 1970; initially used for the formation of the students of the Giorgio Cini Foundation, she was sold to the Guard of Finance on November 9, 1982.

she re-entered service on 27 April 1983, it became the flagship of the Navy fleet of the Guardia di Finanza.
It is exclusively used for educational purposes for the training and specialization of financiers for shipping departments
