On 20/06/17, she ran aground due to engine failure on the reefs off Bofa beach, near Kilifi port, Kenya, 45km north of Mombasa loaded with 27500 tons of vegetable oil en route from Port Kalang (Malaysia) to Mombasa
She was lightened by transferring the cargo on board its sister ship Theresa Dumai and refloated on 12/07/17 and taken on tow to the port.
she was declared total loss due to her hull was badly damaged and the age of the vessel.
